STM to Commission New Bus Line

April 23, 2015

The Montreal Transit Corp. (STM) will be commissioned on  May 11, a new bus line, line 77 - Lionel-Groulx station/MUHC, which will serve the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) from the Lionel-Groulx metro station.

"The Lionel-Groulx station being provided with elevators, we thought we put this new online service, particularly in order to facilitate customer travels with reduced mobility who want to go to the new hospital. This is a temporary measure until such time that the Vendôme station is also available as part of the construction of a second entrance building with elevators, "said Mr. Philippe Schnobb, chairman of the board directors of the STM.

Line 77 will operate from 6 am to 21h, and seven days a week. The bus will stop, among others, in the loop of the main entrance of the MUHC. The interval of the bus will be at 30 minutes.

Remember that it is also possible to visit the MUHC from Vendôme metro. In addition, seven local buses stop at the Vendôme metro or lines 37, 90, 102, 104, 105 and 124, and four lines make stops near the Glen site or lines 17, 420 and 371 of Decarie and 78 St-Jacques.

The site MUHC Glen include eventual reunification of the Royal Victoria Hospital, the Montreal Children's Hospital, the Cancer Centre, the Montreal Chest Institute of the MUHC Research Institute and Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada. It opens its doors to the public on April 26, with the relocation of the Royal Victoria Hospital.
