It was all smiles for a new class of assistant conductors at Metra recently. The students successfully completed 13 weeks of training to prepare them for their new assignment. Assistant conductors are responsible for working with the conductor and engineer in train inspections and preparations prior to going into service as well as assisting passengers and ticket collections.
