RTD Offering 2015 RockiesRide Bus Service

April 7, 2015

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) will offer RockiesRide service to all weekend games and the following weekday games in the 2015 baseball season: April 10 (Opening Day) and fireworks games on May 22, July 10 and Sept. 25. The RockiesRide express bus service provides convenient transportation to Coors Field and will get fans to the game 30-60 minutes before the first pitch.

RockiesRide is RTD’s direct bus service to and from Coors Field from 10 Park-n-Ride locations in the metro area and Boulder High School. One-way fares range from $4.00 to $5.00, depending on trip origination. For exact RockiesRide pick-up locations and fares, click here.

Passengers pay exact cash as they board, or can use Special Service Free Ride coupons. RTD passes, tickets and transfers are not accepted. Children five years of age or younger ride free with a fare-paying adult.

All RockiesRide buses are easy to identify with the letter “R” and the route number (e.g. 36R) on the destination sign on the front. Buses depart from designated locations 60 to 115 minutes before game time, depending on trip distance, and arrive 30 to 60 minutes before the first pitch at the Coors Field parking lot on 22nd/Blake.

Upon arrival at the stadium, the bus driver will announce the route’s parking row, making it easy to locate the bus for the return trip. After the game, passengers can go to the parking lot at 22nd/Blake, locate the correct route, and hop on board. RockiesRide buses depart as they fill up, with the last bus leaving 45 minutes after the game ends. Excluding rain delays, buses will not leave Coors Field before the seventh inning.

Alternative Service

Local, Express and Regional bus routes

RTD has many other bus routes that drop off just a few blocks from the ballpark at the Union Station bus concourse. Please use our Trip Planner for more route information.

Light Rail

Passengers can take the C, E or W lines to Denver Union Station or the D, F or H lines to the 16th/California and 16th/Stout light rail stations and then take the FREE MallRide to Blake Street and walk four blocks to Coors Field. Regular light rail fares apply.

RTD encourages the public to attend Rockies games responsibly and not drink and drive. RTD’s bus and light rail provides worry-free and safe service to and from RTD stations near Coors Field, and transportation network mobile apps can provide a connection to and from RTD facilities and the passenger’s final destination.

One example of transportation mobile networks includes services offered by Uber, who is partnering with RTD to emphasize transportation alternatives by purchasing ads on 30 RTD transit vehicles.  Uber can provide effective “first mile/last mile” connections to and from RTD stations and park-n-Rides so transit users can make their trips without having to own a car.
