TriMet is joining communities across the nation on April 9 for Stand Up for Transportation Day to emphasize the need for long-term and reliable transportation funding for our roads, bridges and transit.
The current Federal transportation funding bill expires May 31, with transportation agencies across the country, including TriMet, facing a loss of funds to support transportation infrastructure. Stand Up for Transportation Day is sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), with events planned in more than 140 communities across the country.
