'The Underline' Meetings Focus on Feedback

April 3, 2015

Miami-Dade Transit and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Departments, in partnership with Friends of The Underline, is seeking public input concerning the proposed master plan for The Underline.  The Underline is a 10-mile long stretch of biking and pedestrian trails and park spaces located beneath the county’s Metrorail between the Miami River north of Brickell and Dadeland South stations.

Three public meetings are scheduled in April, and area residents, business owners, and visitors are encouraged to attend and participate in the interactive discussions.

Each meeting will be approximately two hours in duration with the purpose of gathering feedback on what community members want to do most on The Underline. Consulting design team James Corner Field Operations will lead the discussions, providing an overview of the Framework Plan, Demonstration projects and setting priorities from new and existing ideas on the plan.
