Jersey Elevator Co. Hosts Maxton CET Elevator Valve Training

March 23, 2015

On March 19, Maxton Manufacturing Co. provided two CET training sessions on Maxton valves at Jersey Elevator Co. Inc, in Aberdeen, NJ.  In total 31 elevator mechanics and/or apprentices attended the training classes for continuing education credits (4.0 credit hours) through the NAEC’s approved continuing education program.  Each session was made up of classroom instruction, Q&A, and practical valve adjustment/troubleshooting with the Maxton TA4M portable elevator training unit.

“It was a pleasure to have you guys back out at our shop. You guys really have a great course. For our experienced guys it allows them to freshen up and stay sharp. For some of our newest techs it really breaks it down for them so they truly get an understanding of a valve and how it works. I believe all our guys take something with them back into the field from this training and enjoy the hands on experience,” said Dennis Lotter Jersey Elevator Co. Inc, maintenance supervisor.

“We were able to share some product updates since our last training and it was good to see that the veterans from our previous classes had retained and are using what they learned.  Overall, both classes went smoothly with positive interactions and some good laughs,” said Billy Shrum technical manager.
