Transit Professionals Laud DSE 2015

March 23, 2015

Digital Signage Expo (DSE) was declared, "the place to be," by attendees from major transportation authorities across North America, almost all of whom felt their show experience met or exceeded expectations.

The conference and trade show, which ran March 10-13, set a new record with close to 4,100 attendees, of which over 42 percent were end users, (e.g., transit operators) the primary attendee target of DSE. International attendance totaled over 1,000 executives from 60 countries, with large visiting delegations from both Mexico and Brazil.

Another new milestone – The size of the exhibit hall set a new record with over 83,000 net sf, the largest exhibit floor in DSE’s history. Of the over 200 exhibitors, 65 were exhibiting for the first time, including the tech giant Google.

Communications specialists and technologists in the transportation sector who attended the show were enthusiastic about seeing the newest technologies and opportunities to network with peers. Comments included:

“I can't stress enough the value in attending DSE. If you are thinking about, developing a plan, or already in the digital signage space, there is no better place to spend two days than at DSE. Being able to see technologies in person is worth the price of admission alone. Add in the ability to speak with vendors from over 200 companies from screen and mount manufactures to enclose fabricators to software providers and you've repaid a few times over the cost of travel and lodging. Did I mention the educational seminars?” - Paul Fleuranges, senior director of corporate and internal communications New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA)

Chris Gibbs, president and COO of ExpoNation LLC, which produces Digital Signage Expo said, “When we opened the exhibit hall on Wednesday, March 11, attendees streamed in for over 20 minutes as the hall filled, generating extraordinary energy on the trade show floor, which lasted late into Thursday afternoon.”
