Harting Introduces New Bridge Block

March 20, 2015

The new bridge block now makes potential multiplication in the connector possible. This started with the Han-Yellock − and is now available for use in other Han series connectors.   This reduces wiring time and saves space.

The bridging function replaces terminal blocks in the switching cabinet and is installed in the connector quickly, easily and with very low demands on space. The integration of this function provides users with considerable benefits: On the one hand, the wiring effort, and thereby the installation time, is reduced. On the other hand, much less space is required..

The bridge block is an adapter and is offered in three sizes of Han-Modular inserts up to 15 Han E contacts. Three socket holder rows can be freely selected and inserted. From the normal 1 to 1 bridge, up to the bridging of 5, there are still many more variants available from the existing Han-Yellock portfolio. With its compatibility to the Han-Modular hinged frames, the Han-Yellock bridge block can be applied in all hinged frame applications from a size 10B and up.  Additionally, this allows the bridge block to be compatible with Han-Eco and with the Han-Modular docking frame.  In combination with the large number of inserts from the Han-Modular® program, this offers an exceptionally high level of flexibility
