New Flyer Ind. Inc. announced Feb. 26 that Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) operated by Transdev Services in the state of New York, awarded New Flyer a contract for up to 110 heavy-duty 40-foot Xcelsior compressed natural gas (CNG) powered buses.
The contract for 110 XN40 buses contains a firm order for 52 buses with options for an additional 58 buses and is valued at approximately $53 million dollars.
