ITS innovators wanting to reach Asia Pacific – the fastest growing region in the global ITS market – can leverage their campaign at the 23rd ITS World Congress to be held in Melbourne, Australia from Oct. 10-14, 2016.
The 23rd World Congress host ITS Australia has launched key documents for businesses and organisations wanting to display or demonstrate their technologies before the huge audience attracted by the World Congress.

ITS Australia Chief Executive Officer Susan Harris said with support from regional bodies, such as ITS Asia Pacific, ITS America and ERTICO, World Congresses attract thousands of professionals who specify or buy ITS products and services.
“The exhibition is a major part of the World Congress. In Melbourne, the Exhibition Centre is literally next door to the Melbourne Convention Centre. Together, these adjacent buildings will be home to the 23rd ITS World Congress on the scenic Yarra River,” said Harris.
“We have reserved 16,500 square metres of the pillarless Exhibition Centre and now welcome proposals to showcase your ITS products and operations.
“As an exhibitor, you will meet serious prospects and can make sales at the World Congress exhibition. Virtually everyone who attends the World Congress also visits the exhibition. This creates a buzz in the pavilion because it is a one stop shop to see and learn about the latest ITS technologies.
“Major global players book early to get prime exhibition hall positions. Bookings are on a strict ‘first come, first served’ basis, so we encourage smaller organisations – particularly new businesses – to complete the exhibition prospectus early to ensure their place in Melbourne in 2016,” said Harris.
Technology demonstrations deliver action at the World Congress
If your organisation offers technologies that can be demonstrated, you are invited to participate in the demonstration program at the 2016 World Congress.
“The complexity of some ITS systems make them difficult to explain in words and images. So actually showing people how they work is the most effective way to communicate,” said Harris.
“The aims of the demonstration program are to inform and convince government, decision makers, general public and media of the benefits of ITS – and of course – to promote your technology. Demonstrations can be mobile indoors, or outdoors on open roads or a test track. They may also be static indoors or outdoors.
“Applications for demonstrations will follow a multi-phase process beginning with a concept storyboard. Following short listing, your application progresses to a detailed submission and finally an acceptance agreement timed for announcement at the 2015 World Congress at Bordeaux.
“The World Congress exhibition and demonstrations are rare opportunities for you to present your products and services to a huge audience of business prospects.
