Feb. 19, 2015

LTK Engineering Services announced that as of Jan. 1, it has promoted five members of its management team to the position of vice president, in recognition of their outstanding performance and in response to the firm’s continued growth.

Julie Green, P.E. has been named vice president, revenue systems and technology.  She assumed the leadership of LTK’s revenue management practice in 2010 and has overseen a period of strong growth.  She also oversees the firm’s activities in cost estimating and rolling stock valuation.

Bill Lipfert joined LTK in 2009.  Over the past six years, he created LTK’s practice in rail operations analysis and simulation, and led the development of the firm’s Train Ops simulation software.  He has been promoted to vice president, rail operations planning and simulation.

Both Green and Lipfert have full international responsibility for their areas of practice.

The managers of LTK’s three professional resource groups have also been promoted.  In LTK’s matrix management structure, resource group managers are responsible for the recruitment, development and performance of all professional staff.

Chris Reitter, P.E., based in Seattle, has been named vice president, systems engineering.  In this role he is responsible for professional staff in all systems engineering disciplines, including traction power, third rail and OCS power distribution, signaling and train control, communications, corrosion control, electrical systems, maintenance facilities and systems integration.

The leaders of LTK’s two rail vehicle engineering resource groups have also been promoted.  Ken Hesser has been named vice president, vehicle mechanical engineering, and Jim Dietz has been appointed vice president, vehicle electrical engineering.

“The leaders of our specialized practice groups and our talented resource groups play critically important roles in the success of our firm”, said George Dorshimer, LTK President.  “These groups and practice leaders have distinguished themselves through outstanding work, and their efforts have contributed strongly to our growth and success.  We’re pleased that we can recognize their outstanding performance through these promotions.”
