Zafer Mudar Joins LAN as Senior Project Manager

Zafer Mudar, P.E., joined Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as a senior project manager. As part of LAN California Transit/Transportation, Mudar will be responsible for managing and developing projects.

Mudar has more than 20 years of project management and technical experience in various areas of civil engineering with special emphasis on light rail design, public works projects and highway design. Previously, he served Parsons Brinckerhoff for 13 years as a project manager and project engineer.

Some of his notable projects in California include the Metro Gold Line EastSide Extension, Westside Subway Extension, Regional Connector Transit Corridor, North County Combined Highway Corridor (I-5/State Route 14), I-710 Corridor Study, SR-126/Commerce Center Drive Interchange, and the Anaheim Street Transportation Improvement Project.

Mudar also is actively involved in various organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey and a master’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University. He also has an International Baccalaureate Diploma in liberal arts from the Armand Hammer United World College, Montezuma, N.M. Mudar is a registered professional engineer in California and Engineering Intern in Louisiana.
