Parsons Brinckerhoff Names NYC Area Manager

Richard Fischer has been named New York City area manager at Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Fischer will assume overall management of Parsons Brinckerhoff’s New York City office, responsible for client management and project performance of all New York operations.

A senior vice president, Fischer has served as Parsons Brinckerhoff’s project manager on numerous large transportation infrastructure projects. He has also been the firm’s Princeton area manager.

During his 28-year career with Parsons Brinckerhoff, Fischer managed all aspects of project development for design-bid-build and design-build projects, including design studies, management and preparation of construction contract documents, and program and construction management. His project experience includes Amtrak’s New Jersey high-speed rail improvement program; NJ Transit and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s trans-Hudson tunnel project; the Baltimore Red Line light rail; the Atlantic City/Brigantine Connector; and the Route 4 and 17 interchange improvement in Bergen County.

Fischer received a B.S. in civil engineering from Rutgers University.
