Christopher Bente Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

Christopher Bente has been named a supervising GIS planner in the Sacramento office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Bente will manage GIS services in support of planning, environmental, engineering, and program management on behalf of the California High-Speed Rail project. Bente is an experienced geospatial solutions professional who has led many successful geospatial mapping teams over the past decade. He has been instrumental in the design, implementation, and management of geospatial applications as they relate to hydrologic modeling, asset and emergency management response scenarios, critical infrastructure, transit design, and environmental impact assessments.

Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Bente was GIS Manager in the Sacramento office of an international engineering organization.

Bente received a B.A. in geography from San Francisco State University and is a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional. He is a member of the Association of American Geographers, Urban and Regional Information Systems Association, and Bay Area Automated Mapping Association.
