Scot Sibert Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

Scot Sibert has been named a senior principal technical specialist in the Charlotte office of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Sibert is responsible for managing transit and rail planning projects throughout North Carolina. He has extensive experience in transportation, land-use, and bicycle/pedestrian planning, including development of alternatives analyses, short- and long-range transportation plans, corridor studies, traffic analyses, rail corridor studies and environmental impact statements involving light rail, bus rapid transit, high-occupancy vehicles and bicycles.

Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Sibert was a planning manager with an international engineering firm. He has also served as a transportation planner with the Gaston, North Carolina municipal planning organization and the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Sibert received a master of science in regional planning from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of arts in geography from Millersville University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, American Planning Association, North Carolina Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations, and the North Carolina American Planning Association. He also serves on the rail subcommittee of the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina.
