Free TTC Wi-Fi Expands in Toronto

Feb. 4, 2015

The Toronto Transit Commission and BAI Canada announced that free Wi-Fi is now available at Museum and St Patrick subway stations.

Stations already equipped with Wi-Fi include: Bloor-Yonge, Wellesley, College, Dundas, Queen, King, Union, St Andrew and Osgoode. Spadina Station is scheduled to get Wi-Fi in March, and Queen's Park - the final station in the downtown loop of Line 1 - will have Wi-Fi ahead of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games.

The free service, branded TConnect, is ad-based and comes at no cost to the TTC or its customers. Users can access the network by choosing "TConnect" on a Wi-Fi equipped device, and in the browser clicking "Connect" on the TConnect welcome page.

TConnect provides access to internet service, including real-time transit alerts, social media and email. The TTC and BAI Canada are expanding wireless connectivity to all subway stations in the next three years. Each station with TConnect Wi-Fi is cellular-capable, ready for cellular service providers to join the network.
