The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Locals 1596 and 1749 have reached agreements.
On Jan. 28, the LYNX Board of Directors (BOD) ratified a modification to the wage article in the existing collective bargaining agreement with ATU Local 1596. The modification will provide wage increases for LYNX operators, mechanics, service island and facility maintenance employees.
The agreement between LYNX and ATU Local 1749 contract was ratified by the BOD on Nov. 13. ATU Local 1749 represents the agency's transportation and maintenance supervisors. The new labor agreement period is Oct. 1 to Sept. 30, 2017.
