Transdev Promotes John King

Prior to this promotion, King served as an area vice president for the transit division.

Mike Murray, president and COO of Transdev’s Transit Division, announced that John King has been promoted to regional vice president of the Northeastern Region. Prior to this promotion, King served as an area vice president for the transit division.

“John has extensive experience as a leader in the transportation industry, including a long history of service at Greyhound and a successful tour of duty as general manager at Transdev’s contract in Prince George’s County, Maryland. John has provided strong leadership of our Northeastern Region and I am confident that he will continue to do so,” says Murray.

King has taken on increasing levels of responsibility at Transdev. In his several years as general manager in Prince George’s County in the greater Washington, D.C., metro area, King developed and implemented many new procedures to enhance safety and efficiency, increase ridership and improve customer satisfaction

Currently, in his role as regional vice president, King is responsible for 21 different contracts in the Northeast with a wide range of operational scope. He manages and oversees many different domains including client relations, operational performance, quality assurance, fleet maintenance, safety, passenger satisfaction, hiring, labor relations and budgets for locations in this region.
