Through the ongoing partnership between Stowe Mountain Resort and Green Mountain Transit Agency (GMTA) you can get picked up and dropped off slope side using the free Mountain Road Shuttle operated by GMTA all season long, and the service just got better.
In an effort to better serve their visitors, Stowe Mountain Resort met with GMTA to discuss ways to make the system more convenient for passengers who use the Mountain Road Shuttle. Working closely with GMTA operations, they coordinated the effort and funded a pilot project to provide real-time GPS location tracking for the Mountain Road Shuttle.
Tracking is managed through a new downloadable app called RideSystems available for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and a desktop app for Front Desks and Concierge Services. Once you have downloaded the app onto your device, select GMTA as your agency and you are ready to go. Now you can track the location of the bus from the lodge, your hotel or restaurant without having to wait in the cold.
