The strategic alliance will include an agreement that would facilitate partnering potentials, as well as potential staff sharing opportunities between the two firms.

Stewart C. Haney, president and CEO of Wendel and Marlene B. Connor, principal of Marlene Connor Associates, announced a new strategic alliance between the two firms, effective Jan. 1.

The strategic alliance will include an agreement that would facilitate partnering potentials, as well as potential staff sharing opportunities between the two firms.

“Wendel is pleased to begin this new phase in our relationship with Marlene, which affords MCA the ability to pursue planning work as a WBE/DBE firm, partnering with Wendel on a variety of our public transportation projects, such as inter-modal and maintenance facility development, or Bus Rapid Transit project work,” said Haney.

Connor noted, “In addition to our usual planning work, MCA will focus on the evolving area of integrated mobility. As chair of APTA’s Mobility Management Committee, I have been connecting with a number of entities that range from transportation network companies, such as Lyft and Uber, as well as start-up services like Bridj, which are connecting technology and services with customers, especially millenials. Our new firm will have the flexibility to connect with these businesses and the industry to form new partnerships and organizational models.”
