1,000,000 Man-Hour Mark on BART to San Jose Extension Project

In the pre-dawn hours, members of the Skanska, Shimmick, Herzog, its subcontractors, and VTA project team lined up to commemorate the 1,000,000 man-hour mark on the BART to San Jose extension project.

In the pre-dawn hours, members of the Skanska, Shimmick, Herzog, its subcontractors, and VTA project team lined up to commemorate the 1,000,000 man-hour mark on the BART to San Jose extension project. After being personally thanked by several members of the joint venture and project executives which included Mike Aparicio(Skanska EVP), Todd Sutton(Skanska VP and SSH Project Director), Paul Cocotis (Shimmick CEO), Trent Newton (Herzog Safety Director), and John Engstrom (VTA Project Director) , approximately 450 project personnel created a human formation in the number of 1,000,000 to commemorate this milestone on the project that began construction in 2012.  This project is the largest public works project in Santa Clara County.  Skanska USA Civil West recognized this project as the region's top project of the year for safety. The project is well on the road to achieving the next milestone at 2,000,000 man-hours.
