MTA Holiday Train Garden and Santa's Place Open at Mondawmin Metro Station

Dec. 4, 2014
Santa’s final appearance before returning to the North Pole.

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) and Santa Claus invite children of all ages to the Subway City Holiday Train Garden at the Mondawmin Metro Subway Station on Dec. 6.

Santa and Mrs. Claus have been busy greeting children around the world, but they wanted to make a special stop and visit with the MTA family before they head back to the North Pole for Christmas.

MTA Administrator Robert Smith will be on hand to see Santa and Mrs. Claus off, and to thank the volunteers that have donated their time to bring some joy to children this holiday season. It will also be the final opportunity for children to have a free picture taken with Santa at Santa’s Place, and hear stories read by Mrs. Claus. Santa arrives at 10 a.m. and will take holiday wishes and pose for pictures until 2 p.m.

Children who miss the opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus on Dec. 6, can still drop off letters in Santa’s mail box at the train garden. The garden will be open from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day.
