RTC's Moreno Wins Professional of the Year Award

RTC Public Affairs Administrator Michael Moreno has been selected by the Public Relations Society of America’s Sierra Nevada Chapter to receive the Mark Curtis, Sr., Professional of the Year Award.

RTC Public Affairs Administrator Michael Moreno has been selected by the Public Relations Society of America’s Sierra Nevada Chapter to receive the Mark Curtis, Sr., Professional of the Year Award.

The award will be presented at a reception on Nov. 20.

Moreno has served at RTC for 12 years. He is responsible for public outreach, community engagement, government relations, marketing and branding among other duties. Moreno has been instrumental in coordinating the broad and comprehensive public outreach for the projects and programs the agency administers.

Prior to RTC, he was the local chief of staff for Senator Richard Bryan. Moreno also accomplished a 20 year career in the banking industry, giving him experience with community outreach and engagement.

Moreno has also served on numerous local and national boards and committees. These include: the Renown Hospital Community Advisory Board, UNR Diversity Committee, Secret Witness and the Girl Scouts of the USA.
