4D Security Solutions Names Kevin Handerson as Marketing Leader

Handerson will lead brand building to increase market awareness globally.

4D Security Solutions has appointed Kevin Handerson to the new role of marketing leader as part of an overall plan to increase market awareness and accelerate market penetration globally.

In this new position, Handerson will lead marketing and brand building functions, including PR, electronic communications, sales tools, partner programs and trade shows, to establish a market presence that supports further company growth. 

He comes to 4D with a wealth of marketing expertise and experience gathered at leading technology companies such as Sony Electronics where he served as marketing director, Middle Atlantic Products where he served as director of marketing communications, Lucent Technologies, Bell Laboratories and ATT Wireless Systems.  His contributions have been recognized with marketing and communication awards including “Harvey Advertising Effectiveness Award” at Middle Atlantic, “Best New Product Award," “Best Marketing Promotion” and “Best Business Unit — Silver Award" at Sony and the ATT Federal Systems “Bronze Award" while serving as business effectiveness manager at AT&T.

Handerson's extensive educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Physics from the College of William and Mary, a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University as well as a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, and an MBA in General Management from Columbia Business School.

Asked about his objectives, he stated, “4D has a decade-long track record of success, both in terms of expertise in the engineering, planning and deployment of security systems, but also in development of sophisticated situational management software.  We haven’t spent much time tooting our horn, so we could be the best security company you haven’t heard about.

"In the near term, the focus will be on strengthening our messaging and sales tools, updating our website and establishing partner programs suitable for our emerging leadership position.  Our offerings address real world challenges, and I’m looking forward to helping translate that potential into tangible sales results and improved security for our customers.”
