First Transit Awarded Contract for Oklahoma City Will Rogers Airport

Oct. 8, 2014

First Transit announces that the company has been awarded the contract for the Oklahoma City Airport. First Transit will operate the Will Rogers World Airport rental car center shuttle buses. The contract is for three years and includes provisions for up to five one-year extensions.

First Transit is the largest provider of consolidated rental car shuttle services and is committed to leveraging its global expertise for the benefit of local markets. First Transit also operates rental car center shuttles in Kansas City and Las Vegas, and at Chicago's Midway and Houston's George Bush Intercontinental airports.

First Transit Senior Vice President Beverly Edwards stated, “Our organization already has a strong presence in the area, as First Vehicle Services are presently providing maintenance services for the Oklahoma City Environmental Assistance Trust. We are pleased to expand our services and look forward to this new partnership with the Will Rogers World Airport.”

Shuttles will run in a loop between the Will Rogers terminal and the rental car center. The airport is acquiring eight CNG buses to operate the rental car center shuttle.

The rental car center is set to open next year. Consolidating car rentals there will free up parking close to the terminal.
