MARTA Board Member Wendy Butler Resigns

Effective Oct.1, Wendy Butler submitted her resignation from the MARTA Board of Directors.

Effective Oct.1, Wendy Butler submitted her resignation from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Board of Directors.

"I want to thank Wendy for her many years of service on this board and wish her Godspeed," said MARTA board chair Robert L. Ashe III. 

In a letter addressed to the DeKalb Board of Commissioners, Butler stated, "I know that my support for DeKalb County and MARTA will continue and that my service to those priorities will remain constant as I move into a different role in the county and the region. I look forward to continuing to serve MARTA's vision and leadership with great respect for the organization and its leadership."

Butler joined the MARTA board in 2011 and most recently served on the Operations and Safety committee. She is presently seeking an open seat on the DeKalb Board of Commissioners.
