Dr.-Ing Michael Fübi Appointed New CEO of TÜV Rheinland

The supervisory board of TÜV Rheinland AG has appointed Dr.-Ing Michael Fübi as the new chairman of the executive board. Dr.-Ing Fübi, 47, will assume his new position on Jan. 1.

Since 2012, Dr.-Ing Fübi has served as CEO for Germany-based RWE Technology, the RWE Group’s arm responsible for project development and power plant construction. Dr.-Ing Fübi began his career at RWE Technology in 2002, where his various roles included management of climate protection at RWE Power for a four-year period. Prior to RWE Technology, Dr.-Ing Fübi held key positions at Babcock Borsig AG, also in Germany.

Dr.-Ing Fübi completed his studies at Dortmund University and Aachen Technical University and obtained a doctorate in engineering from RWTH Aachen, Jülich Research Center, all in Germany. He also currently serves as the chairman of the board of directors at VGB Power Tech, a European technical association for power and heat generation, headquartered in Germany.
