BART Police Seek Help in Shooting Investigation

BART detectives are releasing footage from surveillance cameras in an effort to gather more information about the shooting; there were no reported injuries stemming from the incident.

BART Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying persons of interest in a shooting that occurred June 17 near the bus zone at the Hayward Station. BART detectives are releasing footage from surveillance cameras in an effort to gather more information about the shooting; there were no reported injuries stemming from the incident.

“We encourage anyone with information about this incident to report it, anonymously if they wish, to BART detectives,” said BART Police Chief Kenton W. Rainey. “A community member’s information, along with the evidence we’ve already gathered, could bring these individuals to justice.”

The shooting occurred at about 8:15 p.m., June 17 near the bus zone. Several BART surveillance cameras captured images.
