The Open Standard for Public Transport (OSPT) Alliance is hosting a free-to-attend technical webinar on Sept. 30, 5p.m., and Oct. 1. The session, entitled ‘The future of transport ticketing systems: a technical introduction to CIPURSE’ defines the key features of the CIPURSE open standard, and explains how this platform can be integrated into existing transport ticketing frameworks around the world.
The OSPT Alliance was founded to develop and promote the next generation of fare collection solutions. Its CIPURSE open security standard offers an advanced foundation for developing highly secure, interoperable and flexible transit fare collections. This year has seen a continued growth of the association’s member-base, which now exceeds 40 companies, and the emergence of new CIPURSE certified products.
The 40-minute workshop will deliver a technical explanation of the key features of the CIPURSE standard. It will also address the role of CIPURSE in the transit ticketing ecosystem by examining the business requirements it supports, how implementers can integrate CIPURSE products into existing systems and considerations when developing an integration roadmap.
The workshop is primarily targeted at transport authorities and operators, as well as system integrators. It will also be of value to card vendors, mobile application suppliers, mobile network operators and consulting firms with a strong focus on transport, mobility and convergence.
