Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber has appointed Springfield businesswoman Angelynn Pierce to the Lane Transit District Board of Directors. Pierce replaces former LTD Board President Doris Towery and will represent LTD subdistrict 1 in east Springfield.
Pierce is a franchise owner of Safeguard Business Systems and her business is one of the fastest growing Ad-Specialty companies in North America. She is active in the community through service on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and on three Chamber committees. Additionally, she mentors middle school students, is active on the Springfield Downtown Citizen Advisory Committee, and as a volunteer youth sports coach.
Pierce officially joined the board on Sept. 19, and her term will run through December 2016.
