Metro has selected a team led by Streetscape Partners, LLC as developer for its site at the Grosvenor Metrorail Station. This developer selection is the third project award arising out of Metro’s Joint Development Solicitation of November 2013.
The developer team is proposing to build approximately 550 residential units and approximately 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. In support of Metro’s sustainability program, the proposed development will be required to achieve LEED Silver certification at a minimum.
All existing surface commuter parking spaces will be replaced with a new extension to the existing parking garage at Grosvenor-Strathmore.
The development agreement is subject to final approval by Metro’s Board of Directors. Construction is expected to begin in 2019.
