Informative Panel Discussions on Topical and Forward Looking Rail Industry Themes at Innotrans

Sept. 12, 2014
The focus of the convention is on the dialog forum, which this year comprises five individual events.

Information, inspiration and technical discussions – that is exactly what the numerous specialist events at this year’s InnoTrans Convention with its high-ranking speakers will be offering participants. As part of the wide-ranging programme of supporting events at InnoTrans 2014 four main forums and the Rail Leaders‘ Summit will be discussing major topical and forward-looking rail industry themes. The main forums are the Dialog Forum, the International Tunnel Forum, the Public Transport Forum and the PTI Hall Forum.

The focus of the convention is on the dialog forum, which this year comprises five individual events. Themes include rail technology authorisation procedures, reducing rail traffic noise levels and the question as to how much we value public transport. The International Tunnel Forum comprises two events where discussion will focus on whether maintenance and refurbishment are the new tasks in tunnel construction and whether new tunnels can still be financed.

The Public Transport Forum will address passengers’ growing information needs. “What does the customer want?” is one of the questions that will be discussed. At the International Design Forum the focus will be entirely on innovative concepts and solutions for shaping our mobility needs. This year the title of the DB Suppliers’ Forum is ’A culture of innovation for common growth’. The International Design Forum and the DB Suppliers’ Forum form part of the PTI Hall Forum, whose themes cover the Public Transport and Interiors segments at the fair.
