College Students Can Save Big With CAT

Sept. 4, 2014
By showing their student identification, college students can save money on single ride, 1-day and 30-day passes.

College students are now eligible to ride the CAT for a reduced rate. By showing their student identification, college students can save money on single ride, 1-day and 30-day passes.

“We know how money can get tight for college students,” said Transit Director Robin Werre. “We’re hoping to help offset some of that, while maintaining accessibility of Bismarck and Mandan for them.”

The discounted rates are $.50 for a one-way ride, $2.50 for a one-day pass, and $20 for a 30-day day pass. Discount rates are also available for K-12 students, senior citizens (60+), Medicare card holders, and individuals with disabilities. Regular rates are $1.25 for a one-way ride, $5 for a one-day pass, and $30 for a 30-day pass.

Passes may be purchased from drivers, or at the CAT office.
