Capital Area Transit (CAT) management and union have reached a contract agreement in principle, according to Bill Jones, CAT general manager, and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1436 president, John Keller.
“We have reached an agreement in principle pending approval by the CAT board of directors and the full union membership.” Jones said. “Contract details will not be discussed until the tentative agreement has been approved by both parties.” Keller added “This eliminates the need for arbitration.”
CAT will release more information following the signed contract.
