TranSystems is ranked the nation’s 10th largest bridge firm according to ENR’s Top Design Firms Sourcebook for 2014. TranSystems’ bridge practice is familiar with the Top 10 having reached a 10th place ranking in 2012 as well.

Paul Norton, national bridge practice leader, says, “We are all very excited by this achievement and fortunate that funding continues to shift toward one of our strengths – fixing and maintaining the nation’s infrastructure.”

Notable projects that contributed to TranSystems’ milestone in the national bridge rankings include: the Garden State Parkway’s bridge deck reconstruction project, the CSX National Gateway Initiative, the Columbus Road Lift Bridge replacement in Cleveland, rehabilitation of the historic High Bridge project in New York City, and the reconstruction of the Eads Bridge in St. Louis.

The ENR Top Design Firms Sourcebook is compiled annually by Engineering News-Record, a national construction magazine. The Sourcebook provides market analysis and rankings of the largest US-based architectural and engineering firms in the eight major industry sectors, and also ranks design firms in more than 50 specific project types.

Overall, TranSystems ranked 63rd in ENR’s annual ranking of the top 500 design firms and 17th in the Top 50 Transportation firms. ENR has compiled this list for 46 years, ranking firms by revenue, and it has become one of the industry’s key benchmarks.
