J.L. Patterson & Associates Inc. (JLP) announced that the North County Transit District awarded the firm a contract worth up to $7 million to provide bridge inspection and management services for the district’s major bridge structures.
The inspections provide a detailed assessment of bridge conditions, identify necessary repairs and develop recommendations for bridge replacements that comply with Bridge Safety Standards.
The inspections cover timber, steel and concrete structures, as well as groundwater and underwater inspections. In addition, JLP will update the District’s Bridge Management Plan and annually formulate a prioritized list of capital bridge replacements.
“We are pleased to have been selected by North County Transit District to assist with such a significant program,” says JLP President, Jacqueline Patterson. The contract also allocates funds for oversight on upcoming bridge construction projects.
