OH: First Transit Is Awarded Contract For Anaheim Transportation Network Resort Shuttle Program

First Transit announces that the company has been awarded the contract for the Anaheim Transportation Network’s Resort Shuttle Program.

First Transit announces that the company has been awarded the contract for the Anaheim Transportation Network’s Resort Shuttle Program. The contract will begin July 30, and is for five years.

The Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) is the transportation system for the greater Anaheim Resort area, including the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Buena Park and Orange. The eco-friendly, clean fuel ART buses operate every 20 minutes from lodging establishments, Anaheim Convention Center and the Disneyland Resort, as well as the Anaheim Garden Walk and Angel Stadium of Anaheim among other popular area destinations. ART's frequent service with 19 interchangeable routes allow for easy access and convenient connections.

First Transit’s Robert Johnson will serve as the general manager for the Resort Shuttle Program, bringing to bear his vast experience managing all aspects of public transportation systems. Johnson has a very strong background in various areas of management within a variety of transportation settings, including operations, planning, route development, budgeting, union negotiations, safety and training.
