Systra has opened a new office in the Washington D.C. area to support higher demand for the company’s rail planning, infrastructure protection, and engineering services given ongoing rail and transit development throughout the D.C. Metro Area.

This new office is part of the company’s continued growth throughout the North American transit market.

“Washington D.C. is a key market for growth in the rail and transit industry,” said William Crosbie, president of Systra USA and newly appointed regional manager of Systra North America. “Maintaining a strong local presence allows us to better serve existing clients and leverage our global expertise to drive innovation throughout the industry.”

Systra is currently engaged with clients and projects in the D.C. Metro Region including WMATA’s Blue Line expansion and DCDOT’s H Street & Benning Road Streetcar.  In addition, Systra is continuing its work with Amtrak at Washington Union Station.

“We’re proud of our work to date in the D.C. region and are excited to expand on that experience as Systra continues to grow,” said Crosbie.
