KS: Kids Ride Topeka Metro Free This Summer

May 19, 2014
Program brought back after successful 2013 run.

Topeka Metro will again offer the “Kids Ride Free” program this summer. From May 15 through Aug. 15, kids through age 18 can ride free on the fixed route bus service.

“Last year, Topeka Metro provided over 45,000 rides to kids all over the city and we are excited to be able to bring the program back again this year,” said Susan Duffy, Topeka Metro general manager. “Riding the Metro is a great way for kids to stay connected with friends, activities and work all summer long.”

Camp Metro will also be back this summer to coordinate travel for Topeka area summer camps to popular venues, such as the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, Kansas Children’s Discovery Center and the Topeka Zoo.
