MA: Keolis Names Michael Cawley Director of Human Resources and Training for MBTA Commuter Rail Contract

Cawley brings to Keolis extensive HR expertise from public and private sectors as company prepares to launch MBTA Service July 1.

Keolis Commuter Services has named Michael Cawley director of human resources and training for the company’s Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) commuter rail contract that begins on July 1, 2014.

In this role, Cawley will be responsible for all aspects of human resource management, creating a performance-based culture and building a world-class team to work for MBTA Commuter Rail operated by Keolis Commuter Services, a part of Keolis North America.

Cawley joins Keolis from Tufts Health Plan in Watertown, Mass., where he was senior manager, talent acquisition, corporate learning and development.  He also worked as human resources manager at Lightbridge Inc. in Burlington, Mass., and as director of human resources at the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department in Boston.

He has a MBA from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Suffolk University.  He also completed a diversity management certification program at Cornell University.
