Meritor Inc. has increased the warranty coverage for RideSentry MPA38 and MPA40 suspensions to now include damage to the slider box caused by sudden, accidental impact with a curb or similar fixed object.

“Meritor is the only company that offers curbing warranty coverage on trailer suspensions,” said Martha Remski, director, Trailer Product for Meritor. “The RideSentry suspension is an extremely durable product and this improved warranty coverage is an example of our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.”

RideSentry is a revolutionary trailer suspension system that provides fleet owners with several performance benefits. RideSentry is the only suspension with a parallelogram design concept, a compact, integrated system that eliminates dock walk and provides a smooth, stable ride and better handling for longer trailer life. The unique design also includes the groundbreaking PinLoc™ slider system that eliminates the potential for unsecured sliders under a trailer. These innovations add to an overall, user-friendly design that improves trailer, driver and cargo safety.

The RideSentry curbing damage eligibility provision considers deformation such as bending, buckling or breakage of the trailer suspension slider box that is caused by accidental impact with a fixed object and is limited to the originally equipped trailer. The warranty provision does not cover damage to other components or damage resulting from a collision with another vehicle, rollover or fire or if the trailer is considered to be total loss, scrapped or otherwise not salvageable.
