OK: Jason Ferbrache Selected as COTPA Public Transportation and Parking Director

City Manager Jim Couch has named Jason Ferbrache administrator of the Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority (COTPA) and director of the city of Oklahoma City’s Public Transportation and Parking Department.

City Manager Jim Couch has named Jason Ferbrache administrator of the Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority (COTPA) and director of the city of Oklahoma City’s Public Transportation and Parking Department.  Ferbrache replaces Rick Cain who retired last week.

Ferbrache began his career with the city in 2005 as a budget analyst.   He was promoted to management and budget specialist in 2007 then was promoted to deputy budget director in 2011. He was named assistant public transportation and parking director in 2013.

“Jason is a man of integrity who has the leadership skills necessary to take public transportation to the next level,” city manager Jim Couch said. “His exceptional financial management and strategic business planning skills will provide a strong foundation for the department.”

“I have confidence in Jason’s ability to lead the department,” Chris Kauffman, Central Oklahoma Transit and Parking chair said.  “He understands transit, has excellent communication skills and knows the importance of applying for grants.”

Ferbrache earned a bachelor’s degree and masters in business administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla.  He is a member of National Center for Civic Innovation's Government Trailblazer program and tutors reading to Oklahoma City Public School children.
