CO: Mountain Metropolitan Transit to Honor Area Veterans with Pass Giveaway

This Veterans Day, Nov. 11, Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) will pay tribute to those who have served in the U.S. military by giving away 20-ride tickets to three area veterans.

This Veterans Day, Nov. 11, Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) will pay tribute to those who have served in the U.S. military by giving away 20-ride tickets to three area veterans.

Each 20-ride ticket is good for twenty one-way trips on any of the City’s 18 fixed-route buses. Disabled veterans who are certified to use Metro Mobility are also eligible and will receive 20 mobility trips. Providing more than 10,000 trips per day, MMT offers service north to Research Parkway, west into Manitou Springs, east to Peterson Air Force Base and south into Widefield.

All area veterans of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard are invited to enter the drawing by sharing their name, rank and branch of service in the comments section of the special “Veterans Day Giveaway” post on the MMT Facebook page. Veterans can also enter by sending an email to with the subject heading “Veterans Day Giveaway” along with their full name, rank and branch of service in the body of the email.

The drawing will take place on Nov. 12, and the winners will be announced on Facebook and the MMT website.
