Q’Straint has been presented with the 2013 European Coach and Bus Week (ECW) Innovation Label Award for Quantum, the transportation industry’s first fully automatic rear-facing wheelchair securement station designed for virtually any bus or rail car.
The honor was recently bestowed at Busworld, an international bus transportation expo held in Kortrijk, Belgium, where Quantum debuted.
Busworld introduced the new award this year to recognize outstanding innovations. Winning labels were awarded for state-of-the-art products entered by manufacturers of components and accessories. All products were screened by a jury of experts who judged submissions through three qualifying phases. Dozens of original products entered the competition. Quantum was one of only five innovations that were recognized.
