First Transit was recently recognized by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for their commitment to vehicle maintenance and the industry. This location received ASE’s Blue Seal of Excellence certification for its goal of recruiting the best employees, supporting their training, and providing the best equipment to maintain the vehicles they routinely maintain. At this location, First Transit employs 13 ASE-Certified technicians and effectively maintains 58 transit and paratransit vehicles for the Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) authority.
“My staff and I are pleased to receive this recognition,” said Ken Vierling, general manager of Maintenance, First Transit. “We attribute much of our success to the importance we place on training and providing my staff with the encouragement they need to be successful. I’m proud of our recent accomplishment and look forward to continuing our great record of service throughout our time with ECAT.”
