Santa to Join MTA Patrons on the Bus this December

The MTA will roll out the annual Holiday Bus starting Monday, December 3, 2012.

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Holiday Bus is coming to a stop near you. The MTA will roll out the annual Holiday Bus starting Monday, December 3, 2012. The MTA will join Santa and two of his elves as he spreads the holiday spirit. The specially decorated bus will run Monday through Friday throughout the month of December and will operate on various local bus routes across the city.

“It's a small 'thank you' to our customers,” said MTA Administrator Ralign T. Wells. “A free bus ride, greeting Santa, holiday music and a candy cane are just a few things that bring a smile and joy to our riders during this festive time of year.”

The Holiday Bus will operate on different routes throughout the month. Times will also vary as we try to reach as many customers as possible. The Holiday Bus will make regular stops while in service but passengers will NOT pay be required to pay the regular fare. Santa Claus and two of his elves will greet passengers. Photos, free candy canes and holiday music add festive ambiance to the Holiday Bus.
