The New York Department of Transportation (NYDOT) has partnered with First Transit Inc. for its Help Truck service. This service provides stranded motorists with roadside assistance, as well as emergency response assistance. With this contract, First Transit will operate 41 trucks from six different locations throughout the state of New York. First Transit has worked with the NYDOT since the early 90's and is pleased to play a bigger role in its services.
"First Transit is pleased to continue its long history with the NYDOT," said Scott Conroy, director of operations in the Southeast Region. "This service will provide motorists with a helping hand when they become unexpectedly stranded due to a vehicle issue throughout the state. We look forward to our new role and anticipate a successful roll out of the service."
First Transit provides complete operations and transit management services, as well as comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspection programs to meet customer transportation and budgetary needs.
