LAN Hires Gary Donn

Planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) hired Gary L. Donn, P.E., to lead the expansion of its traffic engineering and transportation planning practice in Miami and Southern Florida.

Donn has more than 30 years of experience directing major transportation projects and programs for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). His expertise is in the areas of team building and leadership, process improvement, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, negotiations, contract administration, highway design, environmental impact studies, project management, funding and procurement.

Previously, he served the FDOT District VI in several leadership positions, including director of transportation support and director of planning and public transportation. During his tenure, he served as the project manager for the $1.7 billion Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) capital program, where he successfully directed all negotiations and contract management activities, as well as the development and delivery of MIC's design and construction program. Donn also directed the implementation of the district's annual five-year work program.

In his new role with LAN, Donn will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, client relations and project planning.

Donn holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from University of Florida, Gainesville, and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Florida. He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Florida Engineering Society, the Metropolitan Planning organization and the South Florida Regional Planning Council.
