Go to London Olympics with ASK Contactless Cards

July 11, 2012
This summer, leave your car home and travel on the Tube with Oyster limited edition cards made by ASK.

ASK will help public transport users go to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games with various limited editions Oyster cards.

Already a supplier of 2008 Beijing Olympics contactless paper tickets and 2006 Torino Winter Olympics transport contactless cards and tickets, ASK offers an unrivalled experience in contactless media for large public transportation networks and for highly visible and global events where security and reliability are of essence.

Transport for London, the integrated body responsible for London’s transport system, decided to issue limited editions of the Oyster contactless smartcard to commemorate the major events taking place in London in 2012.

Limited edition London-themed Visitor Oyster cards and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Oyster cards were supplied by ASK. ASK is also a major supplier of other Oyster cards, including the 2012 limited edition Summer Oyster card.

Based on secure NXP MIFARE DESFire EV1 chips, these transport cards will allow visitors, residents and volunteers to travel on London buses, trams, Tube, DLR, London Overground, National Rail, the Emirates Air Line and some Riverboat services during this highly visible sport event.
