HNTB Continues Advancing its Tunnel Practice With Recent New Hire

Conrad Felice brings extensive international tunneling expertise to the firm.

HNTB continues to enhance and expand its tunnel practice with the recent addition of Conrad Felice — a tunneling expert and a recognized authority in safety and security of tunnels and underground facilities with more than 30 years of direct project experience.

Conrad Felice, Ph.D., P.E., P.Eng., D.GE., joins HNTB as a vice president and technical director of tunnel services. He has a demonstrated expertise in providing corporate leadership, program and project management, and technical engineering services on tunnels and underground structures, bridge foundations, dam, pipeline, energy and marine systems and other infrastructure projects. His specialized technical areas of practice are underground and tunnel engineering, structural foundation engineering for long span bridges, geotechnical engineering and hazard assessments and security analyses.

Felice is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, the National Research Council Committee on Geological and Geotechnical Engineering, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences Committee on Underground Engineering for Sustainable Development in addition to several other professional organizations, including the Transportation Research Board’s committee on Tunnels and Underground Structures and the International Tunneling Association. Additionally, Felice has authored numerous papers and presentations, including peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers.
